Oneonta, NY, December 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Springbrook, a provider of support services for people of all ages with special needs, hosted the opening of its third annual Gifts Unwrapped Community Art Show on Wednesday, December 2. Springbrook celebrates self-expression, which is a human trait shared by everyone, regardless of age or ability. As such, the art on display features work from individuals who receive Springbrook services as well as artists from the local community.
This year’s Gifts Unwrapped Community Art Show contains over 30 pieces of art in a variety of mediums, including, but not limited to: drawings and illustrations, sculpture, photography, tapestries and woven items, and paintings. During Wednesday’s opening reception, more than 40 guests got into the holiday spirit while enjoying Christmas carols performed by students from The School at Springbrook, viewed the art on display, and mingled over refreshments.
All are invited to stop by and view the art on display throughout the coming week. The exhibition is open from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, December 2 – 11, 2015, at the Springbrook’s Community Campus, located at 5588 State Highway 7 (next to Brooks’ BBQ), and is free and open to the public.
